Binning

Adjusts the camera's binning factor.

Binning reduces the image resolution by an integer factor directly on the sensor, and thus greatly reduces the image transfer times. Changing this node's value directly reduces the resolution of all binary image nodes accordingly.

Note: Changing the binning factor cancels any running capture operation and clears all images for the corresponding camera.

Format

Number

A positive integer specifying the binning factor.

Default

1

Effects on other parameters

You might want to adjust DepthChangeCost, DepthStepCost and the PostProcessing parameters for optimal 3D data results after changing the binning factor. The disparity range is internally adjusted to keep the original measurement volume set with binning factor 1 and scaling factor 1.
