Calibration Plates

Material and Processing

All calibration targets of outer size 160x160mm and smaller are screen printed ceramic substrates of thickness 1mm. Larger calibration targets consist of aluminum di-bond plates of 3mm thickness. For all types the printing process is conducted with high-precision screens at room temperature without per-piece print calibrations or measurements. We therefore cannot  provide any hard guarantees on the accuracy, but the following sections will outline what printing accuracy can be expected in general.

Ceramic Calibration Targets

Accuracy of barycenters of dot grid

oRelative deviation of distances of neighboring points: ≤ 0.1e-3

oAbsolute deviation of grid spacing: ≤ 1e-3

Thermal expansion: ~ 8e-6/K

Aluminum Calibration Targets

Accuracy of barycenters of dot grid

oRelative deviation of distances of neighboring points: ≤ 0.1e-3

oAbsolute deviation of grid spacing: ≤ 1e-3

Thermal expansion: ~ 24e-6/K

Note: Thermal expansion is provided for reference only and is usually irrelevant for any practical application.
