Camera Protocols

GigE Vision

Our new N31/N36, N41/N46 and X-series cameras with 1.6 or 5MP sensors (2CP/2FA or 5CP/5FA models) are GigE Vision based cameras, because they use camera sensors that can be operated with the GigE Vision protocol. The GigE Vision transport layer interface is integrated in EnsensoSDK versions starting from version 2.2 onwards. The integrated transport layer operates completely in user space and therefore no drivers are needed to operate these cameras.

uEye

Our old N20, N30/N35, N40/N45 and X-series cameras with 1MP sensors (1CP/1FA models) are uEye based cameras, because the installed sensors are from the IDS uEye family. These models require the installation of the IDS uEye camera driver with version 4.81 or higher, which can be downloaded from www.ensenso.com/download.

Other

XR-series cameras use an HTTP-based proprietary connection to the EnsensoSDK and do not need any driver.
