Calibrating a Camera¶
Note
All Ensenso cameras are delivered factory calibrated.
For calibrating your camera, you can use the calibration wizard that is contained in NxView. There are different types of calibrations.
Recalibrate the geometry of a stereo camera itself. If your camera was already calibrated when it was delivered, you can also download and restore its original calibration.
Calibrate the link between multiple cameras as it is described in the how-to on multi-camera setups. This includes stereo cameras (so that their 3D data can be merged) as well as monocular cameras (for texturing point clouds with data from the monocular camera, see the how-to on texturing point clouds). If any of the participating cameras does not have its intrinsics calibrated yet, the wizard will automatically guide you through the necessary steps to calibrate the intrinsics before you can calibrate the camera links.
To start a calibration, simply select the cameras that are participating in it and click the “Calibrate…” button. The wizard will then guide you through the steps that are necessary for this type of calibration.
